It is a very high quality, low cost external USB-PVR with hardware MPEG-1/2/4 encoder and an integrated on board optional TV tuner. Its application software allows the user to watch, control and record video and TV, to capture full D1 quality video in MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 video format from camcorders, VHS tapes, DV cameras and any other analog video. USB-PVR provides for capture and compression of full motion video clips in MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 format on the PC for archiving to DVD or video-CD. Because the unit utilizes hardware MPEG-1/2/4 encoding, it provides excellent performance and video/audio capture quality with minimal impact on CPU utilization.
