How to stream to OBS by SRT

Zowietek series products can use the SRT protocol to stream to OBS.

  1. Obtain the IP address of the computer where OBS is installed.

Click “Win + R”, enter “cmd” in the popped-up window, and then click “OK”.

In the command window that appears, enter “ipconfig”, and get the computer’s IP address.

  1. Add SRT in OBS.

Click to add a media source.

Uncheck the “Local File” option, and enter “srt://{PC IP}:{port}?mode=listener” in input

The port number can be customized, within the range of 1025 – 65535. Make sure it doesn’t conflict with other services.

Since the Zowietek series uses the SRT caller mode, you need to designate OBS as the listener mode.

Enter the input format as “mpegts”, and then click “OK”.

  1. Configure SRT in Zowietek series products.

In Zowietek series products, SRT is in the caller mode. Log in to the device’s web console, click Setting -> Streaming->Live. Click the “Add” button on the right to add a new stream task.

Set the protocol to SRT, and enter the stream URL as “srt://{PC IP}:{port}”.

The port number must be consistent with the port in the obs configuration.

After the configuration is completed, please click “Save” and click the button on the left to start the push stream.
