Recommendations for storage device speed

Zowie Device support saving video to TF/MicroSD and USB Flash drive storage memory. Because of large amount and continuous 4K video data writing into storage memory, the storage write speed and data transfer speed really matters.

TF card: TF card is divided into various speed levels based on the absolute minimum sustained write speed, as shown in the figure below. The speed of the TF card recommended by ZowieBox is V30 or above.

The maximum data when recording with Zowie Device is about 10MB/s. To ensure the stability and quality of recording, the minimum writing speed required for the TF card should be 10MB/s(C10), and the recommended writing speed is above 30MB/s(V30). Lower than the recommended writing speed may cause problems such as screen blur, lag, and loss of video.

USB Flash Drive: Must be a USB3.0 or above storage device. The recommended speed below is the writing speed, not the reading speed. The maximum data when recording with Zowie Device is about 10MB/s. To ensure the stability and quality of recording, the minimum writing speed required by USB Flash Drive should be 10MB/s. The recommended writing speed is 30MB/s or more. Lower than the recommended writing speed may cause problems such as screen blur, freezing, and loss of video.
