How to troubleshoot when ZowieBox cannot decode NDI

If decoding NDI fails, please log in to ZowieBox first, click Setting->Decoding ->NDI to view its prompt information.

  1. If the decoded NDI source shows no video

(1) Please use official NDI software, such as NDI monitor, to check whether the NDI source can be decoded normally.

(2) Please check whether the IP address displayed by the NDI source is in the same network segment as the IP address of ZowieBox.

  1. If the decoded NDI shows that the video format is not supported

(1)Please first determine the NDI format used by your device or software. Currently, the NDI output software: OBS, vMix, VLC, etc. are all Full NDI outputs, which need to be converted to NDI HX before ZowieBox can decode them. Click the link below to find out how to convert to NDI HX format.

(2)For some camera like PTZOptics, AVKANS brand model from the manufactuere VHD. The camera’s default NDI output is Full NDI. Go to Camera Web > NDI@Config, turn it off. It will take effect after restarting.

(3)Please check the encoding format of your device or software. Currently, ZowieBox only supports decoding 264/265 NDI sources.
